K. Sirnivasulu - Case No: - 9

K. Sirnivasulu, 53 Yrs., Male
Carcinoma of Pancreas.

Symptoms: Carcinoma of Pancreas(inoperable) with hepatic metastases, Diabetes Mellitus, Loss of Appetite, Burning of Stomach, Swelling of legs, Fever, Constipation, Loss of Weight, Abdominal Heaviness, Dullness.

Duration of Treatment: 13.3.01 to 10.5.01

Before Treatment:
Dt:22.12.2000 - Diagnosed as Carcinoma - pancreas at Vivekananda Hospital by Dr.R.Venkateswara Rao. The patient has undergone four chemotherapy treatments, constant water formation in the abdomen and the Doctors stated that it has to be taken out within two or three days.

Dt:2.1.2001 - Ultrasonography performed for Abdomen referred by Dr.R.Venkateswar Rao and found - Cirrhosis of liver with portal vein thrombosis, splenomegaly with Ascites.

Dt:30.10.2000 - Color Doppler and Real Time Ultrasonography of Abdomen performed referred by Dr.D.Venkateswar Reddy - A large hypoechoic mass lesion in Lt.iobe and multiple small mass lesions in rest of liver with portal vein thrombosis and Ascites.

Dt:28.10.2000 - CT Scan of Abdomen referred by Dr.Anil Kumar - Diffuse infiltrative disease of liver with haemorrhage within one of the lesions in right lobe with portal vein invasion. S/O Diffuse Metastatis / Diffuse HCC. & Antral wall thickening.

Vivekananda Hospital - Dr. Veeraiah.Koppula - US of Abdomen - A well defined isoechoic Mass lession noted in the left lobe of liver, measuring 75 x 72 x 23 cm.

During Treatment:
After taking medicine there is a slight improvement. There is also active-ness when compared to before.

After Treatment:
First water formation was there every week to 3 days and the patient used to visit hospital but gradually water formation reduced to week to 15 days. Hence now patient visits hospital only once in 15 days for removal of excess water.

Patient is better with all kinds of improvement like all symptoms - leg swelling, buring of stomach, Fever, Constipation subsided.

Weight decreased from 60Kg to 53Kg.
