v      Duration of treatment – 30.11.98 to 29.3.99.

v      He was suffering with symptoms like Fever(1), Glossitis (28), Fungus (60), Loss of Weight (5), Herpes (64).

v      Before treatment he has undergone the following investigations: On 29.8.97 – Medinova Nursing Home CD4 & CD8 – 228 / 1028. On 18.9.98 – Specialty Ranbaxy - Western Blot Test referred by Dr.K.S.Prakash, Mediciti Hospital, Result of the Test Reactive for HIV – I & II +Ve. On 21.9.98 – Specialty Ranbaxy – CD4 & CD8 – 66 / 258.

v      During treatment he has undergone the following investigations: On 15.1.99, Specialty Ranbaxy Ltd.  - CD4 & CD8 – 355 / 1354 and On 23.3.99 – Specialty Ranbaxy Ltd –  CD4 & CD8 – 228 / 1024. During treatment for  CD4 & CD8 Investigations at Specialty Ranbaxy Ltd.- 27.8.99 - CD4 & CD8 – 204 /880. On 4.7.2000 showed CD4 & CD8 – 111 / 418.

v      Due to T.B. before / during the treatment CD4 & CD8 counts gradually increased. After completion of 4 months treatment CD4 comes down gradually. As the patient informed us that he is suffering frequently with fever, So we insisted him to get reports, as we suspected that he might be suffering from chronic diseases. (T.B.,Typhoid, Malaria etc.)

 

v      After completion of treatment of six months, he was suffering from continuous fever. His  x-ray report showed that he is suffering with T.B. Investigation for the same was done on 10.4.99 at Medinova Diagnostic Services Referred by Dr.P.S.V.Satyanarayana. His Montoux Test Report– No Erythema and no indication seen. After 48 hours observation. on 3.4.99 – Hematology Report showed -  Specimen smear for Malarial parasites. Both thick and thin smear studied. Previously he took 2 to 3 years Allopathic Medicine for Cervical gland. – Investigation done at Madhava Nursing home on 29.8.97. Report – Reactive Caseous Tuberculosis  Lymphadenitas – Right Cervical Nodes.

v      In x-ray Montoux sputum test  -  T.B. was not found. Then Biopsy from old  Cervical Gland confirmed that he is having T.B. and he immediately took treatment of Allopathic treatment from NIMS. (Lymph Node old Biopsy Report on 29.8.97 – confirmed that he is suffering with T.B.). After treatment Day by day his health comes to normal as before previous reports for HIV, Western Blot from Ranbaxy HIV-II –ve & HIV-I +VE (all 10 bands).

  

v      After completion of our treatment – 1 year 4 months, Western Blot Report  on 10.7.2000 – Sneha Polyclinic showed HIV – II –VE, HIV – I +VE (3 bonds –ve   P 17, P 55, P13)  7 Bonds +Ve. Therefore we expect that HIV will come to Negative after one-year time from now. It also depends upon curation of T.B.  Now he is free of symptoms and living healthily and happily doing his Profession.

OUR OBSERVATION: This patient may be having viral load in lakhs per ml plasma, so HIV-I&II infection turn HIV (-ve) Negative with in 3 years. Same as above in Western Blot test HIV –I&II all bands turned HIV (-ve) Negative.
